What happened to Mike’s Lite Lemonade?

Truly Lemonade

As I previously noted, 2020 has been taken away many things from us. That came apparent when we realized the Mike’s Hard Lite Lemonade disappeared. What happened to Mikes Hard Lite Lemonade? Well, after seeing it disappear from the shelves of our local Total Wine, I did some research.

I actually contacted Mikes Hard Lemonade and they did confirm that they had put that flavor of Mike’s out to pasture. So, that is when we began our journey to find its replacement. After trying many types of spiked seltzers and combinations of them, the winner was clear. Truly’s Lemonade flavors were the most comparable. The variety pack they sell has four flavors; plain lemonade, strawberry, black cherry and mango.

My final combination was actually mixing White Claws Mango with the Truly Mango Lemonade. It kept it light and fresh. So, if you are looking for that replacement for Mike’s Light Lemonade variety, try Truly’s Lemonade and let me know what you think!

  1. Since the posting of this article, I have found some Mike’s Lite. However, when you look on the main Mike’s website, it is not a featured flavor. You can still search for this variety on their flavor locator, but I have found their website is not always accurate at showing where the actual flavors are available for sale.

    • I also have found the company locator to be somewhat unreliable but a decent place to start. Sad about the decision to discontinue. I have asked some of my favorite family bartenders to see if they can duplicate it from some of the hard lemonade recipes on the web, but so far no luck.

      • The other day in the store we discovered a new Mike’s Spiked Seltzer. It comes in a variety pack and all the flavors were great. Plus they are all 100 calories.
