Though I love gardening and having a variety of house plants, my new favorite thing is succulents. These used to be much harder to find, but now most home improvement stores have sections dedicated to these little hearty plants. I also found a great selection of different succulents right on Amazon and available through Prime.

This is a great way to take advantage of all those empty vases and pots you have hiding around your house. Some succulents will do fine in a basic sand, but I would suggest a potting soil that is specifically for these types of plants. Check out this great board on Pinterest that has a bunch of great ideas. There is no end to what type of containers you can use to plant your succulents.
